Day 1 – Akwaaba – Welcome To Ghana
Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer from airport to your hotel. Welcome drink and orientation. Overnight at hotel in Accra

 

Day 2 – Accra City Tour
After breakfast depart hotel for a sightseeing city tour of Accra. You will drive through the administrative and economic districts of Accra, the capital of Ghana. This 128– year – city with has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. You will visit the W.E.B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence/ Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. After lunch, you will end your tour at the Arts Center where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills to shop from an open – air market for artifacts from Ghana and West Africa. Back to the hotel after shopping

Day 3 – Volta River Boat Cruise (Sundays Only)
Breakfast at hotel. Depart to Akosombo Port to cruise on the largest man-made lake in the world. Aboard the “Dodi Princess” you will dance to the sweet sounds of live highlife music played by the mountain scenery and sorounding.Lunch will be served on board. Return to Accra in late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Accra 

 

 

 

Day 4 – Ada Beach
Depart for a scenic drive to the Eastern fingers of the Greater Accra Region. Visit the village of Azizanya on the estuary of the Volta River. The Elders of the village will take you through their fishing culture and explain how they are able to navigate the estuary which has and under current of over seven knots. Spend the remainder of the day engaging in any of the following: canoeing, jet skiing, pedello, or a range of water sports on the Volta River or simply relax and enjoy the view.(Rates for water sports are not include in package price). Overnight at hotel in Accra

Day 5 – Cape Coast Castle & Elmina Castle
Depart for a drive to the Central Region to tour the infamous Forts, Castle and Slave Dungeons of Ghana. History will unfold the story the slave trade which the impact is still felt beyond the shores of Africa today. Visit the Cape Coast Castle built by the Swedes in 1653 and was later taken over by the British. This castle also houses the West African Historical Museum established by the Smithsonian Institute in collaboration with the Ghanaian Government in 1994.After lunch, visits the Elmina Castle built by the Portuguese in 1482. Elmina castle is also known as St. George’s castle. This castle was the first European structure built in West-Africa. Overnight at Elmina

Day 6 – Kakum National Park
Early morning departure for drive through the historic former Denkyira Kingdom to Kakum National Park, one of West Africa’s tropical rainforests. Extending over 360sq km. Kakum is the home to over 40 large mammals and 400 bird species as many species of butterflies, flora and fauna. The most popular attraction is the canopy walkway which is made up of seven bridges extending 330m, hanging 40m above the forest floor. Choose between a 2 km nature walk through this forest to discover the wide variety of exotic floral species and the medicinal values they offer or take walk on the canopy walkway. After lunch, spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel at Elmina

 

 

 

 

Day 7 – Nzulezo – Lake Dwellers
After an early morning breakfast at the hotel, depart westwards along the beautiful coast of the central region to visit a village of over 500 people on a stilt popularly called Nzulezo meaning on stilt. You have the privilege to ride in a wooden but safe canoe on the lake Tadana on which the village is. After lunch take a ride to Nkruful to visit the birth place of Dr. Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah first President of the republic of Ghana. Layover at Ankasa

Day 8 – Ankasa – Buabeng – Fiema
Depart after breakfast to the Ankasa conservation Area which is a twin wildlife protection area comprising of Nini – Suhien National Park and the Ankasa Resource Reserve. It is about 500km sq you will be blessed with the opportunity to see some wild life including birds in the natural habitat. Overnight at Boabeng

Day 9 – Boabeng – Fiema – Mole National Park
Depart to the Boabeng – Fiema Monkey Sanctuary. This is also twin town conservation program to conserve the Mona monkey which is in extinction. The people in this community live harmoniously with the monkeys they believe that they have a relationship with their ancestors. Overnight at Mole

Day 10 – Mole National Park
You will continue your tour the National Park which is the biggest. The Mole National Park is the home of many wild life including elephants, antelopes, monkeys and other animals found in the tropical forest. After lunch take a tour to the Larabaga mosque which is just a few meters from the park. Overnight at the Motel. This will afford you the chance to see some of the animals nocturnal and only come out in the night to feed.

Day 11 – Mole National Park – Paga Crocodile Pond – Kumasi 
You will proceed to the upper eastern part of Ghana to PAGA, sanctuary for crocodiles, and watch crocodiles responding to the summons of the attendants.
The animals are sacred and the local communities believe that their ancestors have some relationship with the animals.
After lunch, depart south to Kumasi.Overnight at Kumasi.

Day 12 Manhyia / Kumasi City Tour
Take a city tour of Kumasi after breakfast. Visit important places such as the residence of the residence of the king of the Ashanti kingdom called the Manhyia place, you can also take the opportunity to visit some of the cultural villages of the Ashanti region such as Bonwire- the home of the popular Ashanti Kente cloth, the Awhia wood caving village, Ntonsu home of local adinkra cloth, the natural lake bosumtwe site. Depart in the evening to Accra.

Day 13 – Relaxation And Individual Movement / Shopping
Free day after breakfast a visit to the Center for National Cuture and Makola market where souvenirs, ivory, brass, carvings and other art works can be bought after bargaining.  After lunch relax at the La pleasure beach. Overnight at Accra

Day 14 – Day Of Departure Individual Movement / Shopping
After breakfast relax at the hotel, depart later to the airport for the departure formalities.
